What does 'uncensored' mean to an artist, and why is the freedom to openly express thoughts and ideas so important to the creative process? What makes art appealing...do we first connect with the aesthetics of a work? Or is it the fearless liberties an artist takes with the subject matter and the medium, that resonate with us on a deeper level? No doubt, the creative process takes courage, and the freedom of expression is an integral part of the process.
In case you missed the opening, there's a second chance viewing on Sat., June 2 from 1-3 pm featuring an 'uncensored' art display of original works from 20 local artists. This event is free and open to the public. Due to the nature of the exhibit theme, it may not be suitable for young children.
